Zombie Tupac-alypse

Today is Tupac The Zombie’s Birthday.  Wish him well. Capital Cities ft. Tupac Shakur – Breathe (Pink Floyd Cover) Capital Cities (remember them?) remix and cover a Pink Floyd classic with help from – you guessed it – Tupac!  This isn’t a new jam, but it needs to be shared.  I will repeat the particulars.  Tupac, Pink Floyd and Capital Cities.  In/on one track.  Bon appetit. sjowgren – seventeen Never heard of sjowgren?  Cool, me neither.  They are supposedly a trio of high school friends from the Bay Area “making music for fun.”  Imagine what catchy, light-heartedness they’ll come up with once they start taking things seriously?!  Road Trip appeal – 11. Caius – Things Gonna Be Okay Acid Stag put us on to the teenage prodigy from Copenhagen a few months back and now Caius returns with a beautiful, groovy cruiser – Things Gonna Be Okay.  Appropriately titled as everything in life improves with this track playing. Toro y Moi – room for 1zone It smells like Childish Gambino – and I ain’t mad at it. The great Toro y Moi gets way experimental on this dark, deep House loosie after releasing his latest album What For? just two months back.  We are used to hearing TyM roll out dance music under his moniker of Les Sins – but this is very much a surprise from Toro y Moi directly.  Again.  I ain’t mad.  It goes. Kings Dead – So What It took me all of 12 bars before deciding this needs to be shared.  This being my first interaction with Kings Dead I don’t have many details to provide.  Other than to mention that this track So What is off their new EP Utopia Too.  And one of the two MC’s sounds a helluva lot like Kendrick.  Bonus points, obvs. Diane Coffee – Everyday Foxygen’s drummer, Shaun Fleming is prepping the release of his second album and the lead single Everyday has us salivating.  Turn up the sunshine and soak it in.  Everybody’s A Good Dog is set to drop on September 4th and it can’t get here soon enough. nvdes – Before The Weekend Comes Check out the debut track from nvudes they said.  He sounds just like Empire of the Sun they said.  Well, thank you for speaking up.  The LA unknown provides a fantastical track to get you through to the weekend.  Then, it’ll get you through the weekend.  Pool Party rating – 9.3 Moon Boots – Magic Moon Boots is back!  Rather than go on and on about the producer extraordinaire I will instead leave you this time to absorb all that is Magic.  Yes, the rest of his catalog is just as spicy. London O’Connor – Guts London O’Connor – “Don’t become Steve.  Don’t let them break you”  I HATE YOUR GUTS!  It makes sense, trust me.  Listen away. Jimi Charles Moody – Other Man So soulful!  This is the type of groove we usually lead with, but today is Tupac’s day.  Instead we leave you with the up and coming Jimi Charles Moody who we featured last month.  Back again with another stunner.  Jimi Charles Moody lives!  Tupac lives!
